Blushing Rosemary
Ingredients:
2 oz of tequila
1/2 oz of rosemary syrup
1/2 oz of fresh lime juice
2 oz of fresh grapefruit juice
Club soda
Optional: Rosemary sprig and a grapefruit slice to garnish
To make a simple rosemary syrup, add the sugar and water into a small pot and warm over medium heat until all the sugar is dissolved. Add in the rosemary sprigs and let it simmer on medium/low heat for five minutes. Turn the heat off and allow the mixture to sit for another 10 minutes. End by straining out the rosemary.
For the drink, squeeze some fresh grapefruits and add 2 oz of juice to a cocktail glass with ice. Squeeze some fresh lime juice and add 1/2 oz of it to the glass. Add 2 oz of tequila and 1/2 oz of the rosemary syrup to the glass and stir.
Top it off with club soda. To give it nice accent, you can add a rosemary sprig to the drink. You can also use a vegetable peeler to peel some of the grapefruit rind for a garnish, or slip a grapefruit slice around the rim.
Enjoy!
