Durham County ABC Board Announces Request for Proposals for Technology System

The Durham County ABC Board is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) in order to identify a technology system that satisfies the core requirements for operating its eight retail stores and mixed beverage operations.  The Board defines ‘system’, as it relates to this RFP, to consist of Point-of-Sale Software, “back office” (accounting and inventory management) software, and any hardware required to implement the system beyond our current hardware configuration.

01/08/18 – 01/14/18 RFP Advertising and Distribution
01/16/18 Acknowledgment of Intent to submit proposal deadline
01/08/18 – 01/14/18 Submission of written questions
01/10/18 – 01/17/18 Responses to questions distributed to all prospective vendors
01/18/18 – 5:00 pm RFP submission deadline
01/19/18 – 11:00am Bid opening, 2634 Durham Chapel Hill Blvd, Suite 10, Durham, NC 27707


Prospective vendors must already have experience supporting North Carolina ABC retail operations and must be able to accommodate a multi-store environment. Proposals submitted without evidence of this experience will not be considered.  Vendor shall at all times be in compliance with all applicable equal opportunity laws and regulations.  The Durham County ABC Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
